It has been understood that using LED lights instead of the usual lamp can save a lot of energy and is environmentally friendly. But there is one condition. It is very expensive. But whoa, I have good news from the University of Cambridge (Cambridge University) about LED lights.
They have found an LED light with new technology (using the “Gallium Nitride”) that not only can make it very durable up to 60 years (100,000 hours) but also very, very economical, with a drop of 50% compared to that of the current LED (price is about U.S. $ 25 – 50).
The making cost of the latest LED only reached about U.S. $ 2.8 and that means the selling price will be no less than U.S. $ 10.00. Unfortunately it will be long to come to us to practically use the LED, for at least they still take about 2 more years to make this LED light marketable.
