Time For A Hybrid – Toyota is riding the hybrid crest and it will, introduce hybrid technology into the Camry line up. However, the battery and inverter will be sourced from Japan whilst the engine will be Kentucky built. The Camry will join the Prius and the Highlander as the third Toyota model to supply hybrid technology.

Manufacturer of Mazda car series is making exhibition of the latest version of Mazda3 cars in Geneva International Motor Show 2009, which runs from 3-15 March 2009.

The latest series of Mazda3 will put forward a technology called i-stop where it can save fuel when the car stopped at the traffic lights (or traffic jams).

With a economical concept that is the same as the Hybrid technology (except for not using the “electric motor”), the car engine will shut off automatically when stopped at a red light and automatically turn on again when you want to run.

Mazda says that the i-stop technology can save fuel up to 12% for city usage.

Still remember KITT from the Knight Rider movie?, yes a car that can speak! with Env, speaking car is not just a dream anymore, although maybe not as clever as KITT Env is a talking dashboard console that can speak for some things such as read incoming email. In addition, this tool can also accept voice commands to control some equipment in the car like DVD player, Internet radio, and iPod. Env can also be used to receive incoming telephone via Bluetooth or WiFi, there are also voice activation functions. Currently, the Env will be displayed at the exhibition CES 2009 (Consumer Electronics Show).
