Burt Gummer, in Tremors 2: Aftershocks.
Burt Gummer (Michael Gross) is the most frequently appearing character in Tremors, featured in three of the films and most of the episodes the TV series. Burt Gummer is a firearms enthusiast, and a survivalist. He and his former Wife Heather Gummer (played by Reba McEntire) were the first persons in the film series to directly kill a Graboid. He has an “overkill” approach to trouble and takes himself deadly seriously. Although he is only the central character in Tremors 3 and the TV series (and did not appear in all thirteen episodes, due to Tremors 4 being filmed at the same time), his eccentric personality has made him a favorite among Tremors fans and the de facto star of the franchise, along with the vicious Graboids who oppose him. His ancestor, Hiram Gummer (also played by Gross), appears in Tremors 4: The Legend Begins.

The principle of a bong cooler
A bong cooler or evaporative cooling tower is a bong-shaped device that is able to cool water to temperatures below room temperature (sub-ambient) via evaporative cooling. Its primary use is in computer cooling.
Construction
A bong cooler is generally made of ABS or PVC pipe with a diameter of about one decimeter (four inches) and about one meter (three feet) in height. A cold air intake branches off about two thirds of the way down, and the area below it forms a large reservoir for the water. Installing a fan which blows into the intake is optional, but will greatly improve the effectiveness of the cooler. Without a fan, the hot air will rise and exit at the top of the cooler, while fresh air will be drawn through the intake via negative pressure. There is an atomizer or shower head at the top of the cooler which allows the water to have an extremely large surface area through which evaporation can cool the water. There must be a water pump connected to the reservoir and atomizer in order to cycle the water that drips down back up to be re-atomized,

If you have work files, private financial information or bookkeeping stored on your computer, this could be the most important article that you will ever read. But, what if there was some way to recover the data that you thought was lost? For many, this theory is music to your ears. The good news is, however, that it’s not a theory because your computer may have an excellent data recovery capability that you didn’t even know about.

The first and most reliable way to ensure data recovery is to make a back-up copy of your file(s) and store them onto a CD or another location in your computer. In some cases, you may even prefer to store a back-up file on a different computer. This will help greatly in the event that your original file becomes corrupted or is missing.

The HP Laserjet P1505 is clearly aimed at the entry-level end of the Laser Printer market and can be found for under £90. At this price you cannot expect many extras and the P1505 is indeed a very basic model only suitable as a standalone device for the home office or personal desktop use. HP does offer a network capable model, the P1505n, but the price increases by an unreasonable 50% and better options are available for less, for example the Lexmark E250dn that offers USB, Ethernet and parallel ports.

Design

The P1505 will certainly not take up too much room on your desktop. At 8.9×14.9×9.6 inches, it is smaller than many inkjet printers and weighing only 12.9 pounds it is not difficult to move single-handed. Without an LCD screen, the control panel consists of an array of lights labelled with icons that are so confusing, you often have to refer to the on screen documentation to figure out what the light sequence is telling you. HP has obviously cut corners to get down to this price and the paper guides that are located deep within the input tray are small and hard to move. The output tray also has a rather flimsy fold out extension showing more cost paring.

Let us have a look at the the Eee PC
1000HE – the first mini laptops available to use the new N280 version of Intel’s Atom processor.

Like many other Netbooks, it has 1GB of memory, a 160GB hard drive and runs Microsoft’s Windows XP Home Edition. The difference is in the processor. It has the newer 1.66GHz N280 version of the Atom. The other notable feature of the Eee PC 1000HE is its keyboard – large, well-spaced keys almost as large as those on a standard keyboard. Asus has equipped the system with a standard array of ports. To the left is an Ethernet and USB port plus audio jack sockets, as well as a slot for a security cable. The right side has two further USB ports, a VGA output for an external monitor, and a slot for SD Card Flash storage. The system has 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth for wireless communications, but no option for a 3G modem for go-anywhere connectivity, as there is on some other netbooks. A 1.3-megapixel camera is fitted above the screen for web conferencing.

The Dell Studio XPS 13 is a nice sleek and stylish 13.3” screen laptop. It’s a fusion of leather, aluminium and plastic these are the three materials that are present on the back of the lid. When you start this laptop the first thing that we liked is the way the touch buttons light up, then you will also see the backlit keyboard. Having backlight for the keys is a big plus point.

Along with that the keys on the keyboard are well separated with pseudo key spacing. Not only do the keys have backlight, but the mouse buttons of the trackpad also do, and the buttons are a joy to press. Though the trackpad is smooth and accurate, it is slightly small. A few features of this laptop that we didn’t quite like are the thickness and weight.
